Soursop Trees
Annona muricata
Soursop trees produce fruits that are conical to heart-shaped and very large, weighing up to 15 pounds. The flesh is aromatic and sweet and contains many large inedible black seeds. The skin is dark green turning yellowish-green when ripe and is covered with many soft, pliable spines. Trees are low branched and can reach 25-30ft. tall. This tree is highly tropical. We recommend protecting these trees with a frost fabric or bringing them indoors when winter temperatures dip below 45 F.
