Reed Avocado
Persea americana x ‘Reed’
The Reed avocado are very round, very large, thick skinned green avocados with a creamy smooth texture and excellent buttery-flavored flesh. Reed bears early and regularly. The fruits may remain on the tree for a relatively long time after reaching maturity. This variety is resistant to salt burn. It is also one of the more cold tender avocados that we carry.
