Coffeecake Persimmon

Coffeecake Persimmon
Diospyros kaki x Nishimura wase
Coffeecake persimmon is a medium to large, nearly round persimmon that has richly flavored spicy-sweet chocolate colored flesh. It develops its best flavor when pollinized with another persimmon. Without pollination it is seedless but astringent and must be eaten when fully ripe. This is a hardy, attractive tree that is practically free of pests and disease.
