Pineapple Pear
Pyrus communis 'Pineapple'
Large, russet-skinned fruit with a distinctive, tropical flavor accented by a hint of pineapple—a true delight for the palate. The tree shows good resistance to fire blight and is partly self-fruitful, producing a heavier crop when paired with a pollenizer. Harvest in August. Requires about 200 chill hours and thrives in USDA Zones 6–10.
