Violette De Bordeaux is a small to medium sized purple-black fig fruit with very deep red strawberry pulp. It has a distinctive, sweet, rich flavor. Brebas are pear-shaped with a thick, tapering neck while main crop figs are variable in shape, often without neck. This variety is good for container culture or small spaces.
