Chicago Hardy fig is a late season variety. Mahogany to purple fruits are set on current season’s growth. One of the most frost hardy of all figs. Known to grow into zone 5. Little to no breba crop (the first crop of figs that ripen in the spring on the previous year’s growth). Best quality late summer through fall.
